On the contrary, on the other side of the island, the land features breathtaking views and wild imposing white cliffs with bright blue waters. In this part of the island are located the most famous beaches of Mediterranean Sea, Porto Katsiki and Egremnoi, where the outstanding beaches reward the visitors despite the difficulties to access them. The island is also famous for the traditional handmade embroideries made by the women in the village of Karya and for the many local products such as honey, wine, sausages, soumada and lentils from the plateau of Egklouvi.
