In a traditional village of the prefecture of Chania, the Souri, a traditional stone house, which today is called Villa Souri, has been built for many years.
This house was created in 1880 by a Cretan the Mrs George to provide to his family a warm and welcoming family home. After many years the house was acquired by the current owners who, always respecting the tradition and the specific nature of the surroundings, renovated the house using stone and wood, maintaining the characteristics of the house which offer to the tenant’s unique feelings of a bygone era.
Ideal for hosting a large family or group of friends, The Villa Souri combines the beauty of the old times with the comforts of modern life.
The unique architecture and the love that was used to form this house resulted in the creation of a unique interior place in which tenants can calm and relax.
The particular paved garden of the house, decorated with special traditional value and a beautiful cistern, offers incredible delight to its guests. They also can enjoy the exotic scents and sounds of Cretan land in combination with unique images created by the White Mountains and the magnificent beach of the famous Crete.
The exotic sunsets that you can enjoy relaxing on the terrace of the house after a full day of activities is the last touch to the game of sense of those who choose for their holidays the Villa Souri.
The Souri village offers guests the tranquility and relaxation they desire away from the stress and noise of a densely inhabited area and is also a perfect base for exploring the surrounding traditional seaside villages such as Georgioupolis, Almyrida and Kalives.
