THALASSITRA SAILING BOAT
“Thalassitra” is a new twin mast yacht built in 2008 and made of wood. It’s design has been characterized as a Greek traditional boat type “Trehantiri”. These vessels were used at the beginning of the 20th century to ferry people from the islads of Aegean sea to the main land.
“Thalassitra” has five cabins and a beautiful lounge area. It’s size is 19.75 meters length and 6.40 meters width. Rigged with traditional rigging known as “rantopsathi” which has been used widely throughout Greek sailing history. Maximum speed is 12 knots and it can accomodate up to 49 passengers. Thalassitra is offered for daily cruises around the many beautiful places that Milos has to offer, including several stops for refreshing swims on crystal clear waters. Cruises begin from Adamas and route includes Klima, Vani, Arkoudes, Kalamos, Aghios Dimitrios, Kleftiko, Sykia, Kalogries, Agathia where you can enjoy a meal as well.
Alternatively you can charter the boat with it’s experienced captain along with a chef for destinations of your choise around Greek Seas for as long as you wish. It can accomodate up to 10 people.
COOKING LESSONS
Learn the secrets of Greek and Cycladic cuisine in the most beautiful way. By sailing with our wooden boat “Thalassitra”, you will be introduced to the traditional cooking of Milos. We will pass through beautiful traditional villages and beaches, and we will stop to taste a variety of local delicacies that we will cook on board with the help and demonstration of our captain. Having enjoyed our lunch in the shade, we will return in Adamas port, drinking coffee and tasting juicy fruits.
