The oldest ceramic studio in Paros.
LEFKES CERAMICS was established in 1951 when YIANNIS and VIRGINIA KIDONIEUS settled in Lefkes of Paros. From the collaboration of a master potter and an inspired painter, a unique technique of ceramic decoration was born. LEFKES CERAMICS became well known with awards in greek and international exhibitions.
In 1985 when YIANNIS KIDONIEUS died, his nephew KOSTAS FIFAS came to Lefkes and took over the throwing and the technical side of the business (glazing, firing etc) while VIRGINIA KIDONIEUS continued painting until 1993. From then on KOSTAS FIFAS took over the decoration side of the work as well, and until today, in the same space, he continues to create the unique ceramics, with new designs and with respect to tradition and to the artistic inheritance of the workshop.
