The typical West Cretan village of Kalyves (1100 inhabitants) with its beautiful sandy beaches is picturesquely situated at the entrance of Souda bay, 14 km east of the Venetian town of Hania. The town is a popular holiday destination. Many guests return year after year and recommend the village their friends. It is there where the Apartments Thamiris, Studios Thamirakis and Villa Petros are situated - directly next to the sandy beach with sun beds and umbrellas free of charge. They are built in the traditional Cretan style and offer a beautiful view over the Cretan Sea and over a small river with its boats. The Thamiris Apartments are located directly on the sandy beach "Xida" and at the small and wonderful River "Xida" (western shore of the river) with its little boats. The building is constructed in the traditional Cretan style and has 3 floors. The Thamiris Apartments consist of 15 well-tended, spacious, bright and friendly apartments, depending on the size for three, two or one person/s. Most apartments have sea views. Families up to 8 persons can enjoy a relaxing holiday with us. Each Apartment and each Studio is equipped with air-conditioning system, table, chairs, fully equipped kitchenette with fridge, electrical equipment, kitchenware, coffee machine, water heater, toaster etc., bathroom (bathtub or shower), balcony or veranda to the garden with table and chairs and umbrella on the sea side, river side or mountain side. There is a small cared for garden with flowers and trees in front of the main entrance of the building, a free parking in front of the house and a garden with seating accommodation direct in front of the sandy beach. The Thamirakis Studios are located right adjacent to the sandy beach Xida and about 200 m away from the western shore of the small River Xidas. The building is constructed in the traditional Cretan style and consists of 2 floors (mezzanine floor and first floor). There are 8 pleasant, bright, spacious and well-cared 1-room-studios directly situated next to the beach. The Thamirakis Studios are ideal for couples and small families up to 4 persons.
