Hotel Castro is the patrimonial house of the Danassi’s family, owned by them for the last five generations. It is a part of the northern side of the medieval Castle (Castro) and it is structured on levels according to the morphology of the ground. More precisely, its north side is located on a cliff with a vertical height of 130 meters above the sea level. Its south side has a fantastic view of Chora (the central town of the island) while the rooms in the ground floor, with their porches, communicate with the small road of the Castro area. Quoting the words of the famous Greek modern painter Alekos Fassianos written in our Guestbook:
